ARMED ROBBERS KILL DRIVER AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE IN DELTA STATE

ARMED robbers, yesterday, ambushed and killed a Delta State Government House Annex, Warri, driver. The victim was allegedly taking money withdrawn from a bank in the city to take care of logistics at a meeting of the Delta State Waterways Security Committee, when the bandits attacked.

An eyewitness said:

“The robbers laid ambush at the entrance of the Annex along Edjeba Expressway and blocked the victim’s vehicle as soon he showed up.

"But the driver smashed through their blockade in an attempt to escape.

“However, he was not lucky. The robbers shot him while he successfully bulldozed his way through into the Annex. He died on his way to the hospital.”
