The Chairman of Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah, has described as unfortunate the media attack on business mogul, Sir Emeka Offor and other affluent individuals from the South East. In an interaction with journalists in his Umuanuka Otolo-Nnewi country home, Ubah said that all the stories carried by an online medium against Offor were nothing but a failed attempt to tarnish his image. Offor is the Chief Executive Officer of Chrome Group.
Ubah, who is also the Publisher of the Abuja-based The AUTHORITY newspapers, remarked that the campaign of calumny against Offor was a continuation of the smear campaign targeted against prominent people from Anambra State. “Sir Emeka Offor is very healthy; he is as fit as a fiddle. He came to the field unaided; you all saw him there. He is still very rich, he came with his Royce Rolls; people should stop getting envious of the Igbos. It is God who has decided to bless us and there is nothing our detractors can do about that. “They should stop killing our people with their mouth and their paid hatchet media like Sahara Reporters. If they are not saying negative thing about Dr Cletus Ibeto, they will report fictitious report that Innocent Chukwuma has closed down his factory.” Ubah urged those who are behind the smear campaign against prominent people from Igboland to have a change heart and turn from their evil ways. “They should leave our people alone; there is nothing they can do about the blessings of God upon our lives. I don’t know what they will say about me tomorrow but that’s not important.”
