Kanu: IPOB threatens to sue FG before ECOWAS Court

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its Directorate of State (DOS) on Tuesday threatened to drag the Federal Government to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Court over the continued detention without trial of its leader and Director of Radio Biafra, Mr Nnamdi Kanu. IPOB said the move has become imperative to seek justice since the Nigeria judiciary has proved over time that it cannot be trusted to deliver good judgment in the matter concerning his alleged illegal detention. In a statement
signed by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Mr Emma Powerful, IPOB alleged that the withdrawal of the trial judge, Justice John Tsoho, is another application of delay tactics and to pave way for continued detention of Mr Kanu and not because he wanted to save his face from shame. He added that the judge is still working with the Federal Government to convict Mr Kanu by all means.
nst him. “IPOB and the Directorate of State, DOS have concluded plans to take the continued detention illegally of our leader and Director of Radio Biafra, Mr Nnamdi Kanu to Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, court to seek justice for him since the courts in Nigeria have decided not to give him justice to please their masters who have written the scripts they are playing”. “We want to tell the world that the withdrawal of the trial Judge Mr John Tsoho from the case is another way of continuing his detention longer and not to save his name from the embarrassment he has caused himself with his role in the case.”
